PROFILE OF FIRM
The Liturgical Design Consultancy was formed to provide experienced, thoughtful consultation in organizing and executing the planning and design process. We offer our services to parish communities and pastors who are contemplating the construction of new or renovated churches and related facilities.
The Consultancy is unique in that it combines the experience of Landry & Landry, Architects & Planners, with that of a pastor, Msgr. Don Fischer. Duane Landry and Jane Landry have, for the past twenty years, concentrated their practice on master planning and design of churches and related facilities. Four of these projects have been for parishes pastored by Msgr. Fischer. The three have worked together from initial concept through the details of furnishings and art to create spaces particular to each community where worship is the clear and central focus, and the sense of the Sacred is undeniable. It is this successful collaborative design process which we would like to share with other parishes that wish to build or renew their worship space.

Diocesan Liturgical Commission, Diocese of Dallas 1973-2003
Pastor, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richardson, Texas
Msgr. Don Fischer, ordained a priest in 1967 in the Diocese of Dallas, has chaired the sub-commission on Environment and Art of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission since 1973. During that time he has reviewed all new and renovated churches in the Diocese. His experience in guiding parishes through the building process, along with his sensitivity and creativity toward liturgical design, brings a unique perspective to the firm from that of pastor, liturgist, and client for four of the featured projects: Chapel of the Incarnation, St. Bernard of Clairvaux Renovation, St. Joseph Renovation, and St. Joseph Master Plan and Columbarium. He has served as Pastor at St. Joseph's in Richardson, Texas, since 1995. Entry into the seminary came at a mid-point in his college work as an art major, training which is evident in the worship environment in each parish he has served.
